Blowing fuses
« on: April 17, 2017, 11:10:17 am »
On a vehicle, if your keep blowing fuses for an intermediate wiring issue, you can replace the fuse with a light bulb, you can try and track down the short.  If the light gets bright, then the wire is shorted somewhere.  If the light goes out all the way, then it probably is an open circuit.  For most things, it should be a dim light.  I use this trick quite often after I have blown 2 fuses in a row, and suspect a rubbed thru wire somewhere.
